Received a text message from a young lady that was joining her Family to go trick-or-treating in Brampton, Ontario.
When she arrived back home, she froze as she noticed her diamond setting was missing off her engagement ring.
Met with her and her Husband and Family, asked a ton of questions and decided to start from the inside of the house and work outward to the path taken trick-or-treating on Halloween night.
We pulled apart the couch and incredibly there was her diamond setting in between the two sections of couch to everyone’s surprise and relief!
Another donation to the Kelly Shires Breast Cancer Foundation!
Raj and her Husband were preparing for a trip out west to Vancouver and thought she had put her wedding rings on top of the dresser!
Both her and her husband had tried looking for them, and during their time away, she followed up with him as he thought she had!
When they arrived back home, they continued to search the home with no luck!
They called upon me on Canada Day to come down to search the home! I started off in the first area of the process: the master bedroom! I searched through every nook and cranny in the drawers, the bed/bedding, the flooring, the floor vents, the closets, the storage bins, the bathroom sink and toilet!
I continued on in the other bedrooms and bathroom with no luck. I proceeded to the main floor and continued my search process.
After an hour, I proceeded outside to the Region of Peel curb-side garbage bins where there were a total of six bags of garbage to search!
It never fails, but I came upon searching the very last garbage bag and lo and behold, I recovered Raj’s platinum engagement ring and wedding!!!
Both Raj and her Husband were absolutely thrilled, but what a small world it is as her Husband is a work colleague of mine!

A call out came in from Lisa for an extremely sentimental 18k Mother Mary medallion which was lost in a Brampton, Ontario backyard over a year ago.
Lisa’s Nephew Matthew had searched googled and came across the global directory for TheRingFinders!
I met up with Lisa after work. Lisa explained she was picking pears in her backyard when the wasps came out of the hive. She ran away and somehow broke her gold chain with two medallions on it. Matthew was able to find one of her medallions but not the other.
I started my grid search in her backyard with my new Minelab Manticore metal detector. It took a while digging out every signal as I was not use to my new machine.
I managed to locate the medallion 4” down approximately 7’ over from where her Nephew found the first medallion.
Here is the video of the recovery. Please like & subscribe 💞
Lisa was very happy to receive the gifted Mother Mary medallion back as it was a treasured gift that belonged to her late Cousin.
Sephra and her Son Aadam were playing in the snow after a big snowstorm in Brampton, Ontario.
Sephra had to fix Aadam’s zipper and as she took her snow gloves off her ring flew off into the deep snow.
They searched the snow for a while with no luck. Sephra took to a Google search and found TheRingFinders directory!
I arrived the next day after work and started the grid search amongst lots of underground utilities and interference.
I came across a great signal, and asked Aadam to give me a hand with my pin pointer. I always like to get kids involved in the search in hopes of inspiring them to try metal detecting!
Aadam was a pro and successfully found his mother’s gold wedding band!! Nothing beats that great big smile on a child!
here’s the video of the ring recovery in the snow and Aadam’s big smile!
I was contacted by James way back in late February of this year inquiring if I could search for his lost wedding band and what the process is. The 18k English gold wedding band was lost within 15m of the edge at a specific spot into Professors Lake in Brampton, ON. His wedding band was actually lost 16 years ago!
I explained that I would need special permission to search that area of the Lake and I would start early to mid summer if permission was received.
I reached out to James in early June and was connected to his Father-in-Law Brian who is a local resident in the area of the Lake.
After weeks of trying to obtain permission I received the go-ahead from Commissioner Parks prior to his retirement.
The next day I had teamed up with James’ Father-in-Law Brian unbeknownst to James and we proceeded to the area. I was also very grateful for my work colleague Carlos for keeping an eye on the situation as I deemed Brian my water safety spotter.
With-in 20 minutes of entering the water, pulling out old pop cans, a glass jar, fishing lures and garbage, I heard the sweet tone of gold on my underwater metal detector. I pulled out the underwater pin pointer and zoned in on the lost wedding band. WE FOUND IT!!
Check out the video of the entire process;
Next day I met with Brian and proceeded to FaceTime James pretending to ask more questions about the lost wedding band. We completed the task of surprising James with much surprise and delight. James then planned to surprise his lovely Wife on their 17th Wedding Anniversary day while spending it with Family. It was priceless!
James had also inscribed the wedding band with « What was lost is now found ». Beautiful.
Thank you James for your charity donation to The Kelly Shires Breast Cancer Foundation! This is part of my pay-it-forward program as I don’t take a reward. The donation assists breast cancer patients with financial support for items such as medicines, wigs, rent or food on their table! I am truly grateful for the benefits from my work place.
Dhillion and his lovely bride-to-be where pulled over on the side of the roadway. Unfortunately, there was a disagreement which happens in life. The engagement ring was thrown and lost in the area of a construction site under recent snow.
Dhillion searched for 2 hours very early this morning with no luck. He then came across the link to “The Ring Finders” global directory page and called me.
I dropped everything and met him within an hour!
Within 3 minutes my detector had a beautiful tone. I moved the snow away and saw the diamond filled rim of the ring… and here’s the surprise!
Dhillion and his Fiancé were so very happy to receive this beautiful symbol of love back in their hands!
This is one beautiful elegant engagement ring!!
I am grateful not only for the extra tip I was given but from the incredible donation coming into the Kelly Shires Breast Cancer Foundation! Dillion will receive a tax receipt for his very generous donation!
I received a text from a manager of a recreation complex that he was cleaning the snow off his car knocked his hand on something. Next thing he noticed his 2 month old cobalt wedding ring was missing!
I new right away that it was a colleague at my work place! I messaged him back if he was a COB employee 😂 after that exchanged he called me and we had a bit of a laugh over it!
I met him bright and early the next day. Unfortunately, the area still had snow and ice but the worse was that the area was rebar encased concrete parking pad/walking area. I had my work cut out for me. Gave it 4 1/2 hours, I lowered my sensitivity to 2 but only had my 15” coil with me. I called it quits and decided to go back the following day on my lunch hours.
Well, 4 minutes into my 2nd attempt with my small coil and decided to check the snow piles / iced areas that were still present. I had a solid 9/10!! As I kicked the snow away, out popped the iced up shinny cobalt wedding band!!! WHAHOOOO!!
Now to surprise Antony!!!
As I was heading back into the building to surprise Antony… he walked out to check on the status. I pretended that an emergency call came in for a street light pole down. Then I pulled out his beautiful shinny cobalt wedding band!! His reaction was priceless!! Antony was so grateful to receive his 2 month old wedding band back. He was dreading telling his telling his Wife!

Thank you Antony for your donation to the Kelly Shires Breast Cancer Foundation as I don’t take the reward for finding the lost item! Instead, I have the clients pay-it-forward with a donation! He receives a tax receipt.

Manu lost her custom engagement / wedding band back in August 2021.
She had a girlfriend over and while she was sitting on her couch she was fiddling with her ring. She saw the ring fall through in between the leather cushions.
She and many others Family member try to find her ring but with no luck.
She recently called me back since August communication and made arrangements for me to swing by after work.
I brought along my Stanley Tools endoscope which has a high definition camera and light on the end of the scope.
I took about 5 minutes to locate her beautiful custom designed ring under and around a lower fabric piece in the middle cushion!
Check out the video on this ring recovery!!
She was so very happy that I was able to recover and return her beautiful ring!
Thank you Manu for your very generous donation to the Kelly Shires Breast cancer Foundation. She receives an income tax receipt for her donation!
Vanessa and Danny took their young Family for a drive to Toronto. Vanessa removed her engagement ring and wedding band and set it on the center consul inside the van. After applying hand cream, 10 minutes later she went to put her wedding rings back on and only saw her engagement ring and no wedding band.
After searching the vehicle, bags, and hand bag Husband Danny decided to pull apart the center consul as they noticed the ring likely slipped into a small crack. No luck.
Vanessa found my Ring Finders blog page and contacted me! I arrived after work and agreed with Vanessa that the ring was still inside the vehicle!
Danny assisted me with pulling apart the consul (again) and checking cracks in the plastic and upholstery with my Stanley scope. I then lifter the spare tire compartment behind the two front seats, checked across the seem and spotted the glorious glitter of the diamonds on the end of the scope camera!
Then of course…. Scheming with Danny and then surprising his Wife with the pink plastic kids ring to return her beautiful 18k white gold/Diamond wedding bands!!
Check out the video!!
YES, TEARS OF JOY!! PRICELESS!
Grateful for Vanessa & Danny’s generous donation to the Kelly Shires Breast Cancer Foundation as part of my PAY-IT-FORWARD program instead of receiving a reward! They will receive a tax receipt for their donation 🙏🏻💖THANK YOU💖🙏🏻
Breast cancer has touched both their sides of their Families 🙏🏻 Also, an 🙏🏻AMEN🙏🏻 to our PRAYER to St Anthony for lost/stolen items!
Young couple was building a snowman ⛄️ in a school sports field yesterday and the young man took his gloves off at one point. He then realized after a while he lost his platinum wedding band in the snow. They purchased a metal detector but had no luck. They reached out to me late last night and I made arrangement to meet them at the area very early this morning with all respecting COVID-19
!!
I started off by circular gridding the snowman. Then at one point I continued in a half moon grid as it was evident I wasn’t required to check down the slop. A half pass later, I heard the double tone with a 16 number on the Minelab Equinox 800! I cleared the snow away and saw the round ring shape in a portion of the snow I had just moved.
I then asked to do a video for the blog for good luck ….and here’s what happened!! Video link below
Another #PAYITFORWARD donation coming into the Kelly Shires Breast Cancer Foundation! In turn the clients receive a tax receipt for their donation!!
