Lost Ring Found Minnesota Metal Detecting

  • from Twin Cities Metro (Minnesota, United States)

Reena was out with her family at a fall festival. While playing around in the child’s area with her daughter, she noticed her 24K gold ring was missing from her finger. This ring was a gift from her mother in India and had a very special personal meaning. She called me through the ring finders web site and I was able to search the next day. This is a huge area and I was unsuccessful the first 3 times I searched. I went in for one final search as I know how important these rings can be to people. The 4th was the charm, I’m so happy I found it for you. Take Care.

Lost Men’s Gold Wedding band Found Metal Detecting In Lake –

  • from Twin Cities Metro (Minnesota, United States)

Brittany & Kevin recently moved to the Minneapolis area from Portland, Or. They met up with friends at a fishing dock on Lake Calhoun. While on the dock, Kevin was messing around with his new wedding band and it dropped down onto the dock and of-course, fell between the boards into the lake. Brittany & Kevin are newly weds and he only had this ring for 4 months. He braved the ice cold Minnesota water and searched as best as he could to no avail. Brittany did a search on-line trying to find anyone that could help retrieve the ring. Up popped « The Ring Finders » website. Brittany gave me a call and we set up to meet the following day. I decided scuba would be the best chance at retrieval even though the ring was only in approx. 5 feet of water. The dive was only 15 seconds long and I had the ring in my hand. I’m glad it was a quick find as the water is very cold at this time of the year. It was great to meet you Brittany, you were a joy to talk too and thanks for all the help getting me prepared for the dive. Prayers for a long and happy marriage.

Lost Engagement Ring Minnesota – Found

  • from Twin Cities Metro (Minnesota, United States)

Getting the word out about the Ring Finders website works great!

Jay and his fiancé Michelle visited Minnesota from New Mexico back in July. While here, they visited friends on Cedar lake and went for a swim. After the swim, Michelle noticed her White Gold / Diamond engagement ring was not on her finger. Jay went to Minneapolis Metal Detectors and rented an underwater detector. He pulled out a few targets, though he couldn’t find the ring. As he was returning the metal detector, the shop owner gave him the website of the « Ring Finders » – (I was actually in his shop early this spring and gave him a card). Jay contacted me from New Mexico a month and half later as he kept thinking there is really no chance of recovery. He finally decided to give the ring finders a try. After Jay described the conditions of the lake. Muck bottom, very weedy and no visibility at all – I decided to use scuba instead of walking with a scoop. The ring was in waist to neck deep water and scooping could be difficult. Scuba provides guaranteed recovery of every target and it’s much quicker. It took me approx. 1 hour and I found the beautiful ring – See Pic’s! 🙂

Glad I could help out Michelle and Jay – Hope you have a long and happy Marriage!!!

Lost Wedding Ring Found Lake Minnetonka Big Island

  • from Twin Cities Metro (Minnesota, United States)

I received a call from Bryan, he had lost his wedding band during a work party out at big island on lake Minnetonka Minnesota. He and some co-workers were out on a pontoon ride, they stopped at Big Island; a great spot to hop out into the water. The water is crystal clear, the bottom is sand and it’s only about 4 feet deep. Bryan was tossing a football around when he noticed his ring flew off his finger while attempting to make a catch. He and his co-workers searched to no avail. He made a mental note as to where he was in the water and tried to mark the spot with a bottle. When he was back home searching the internet for help, he came across the ring finders website and gave me a call. I told him that time was of importance as many metal detectorists search Big island as it is a « Hot Spot » for people partying. We hopped on a pontoon and headed out for the search. Bryan did a great job putting right at the spot, though I never did see the bottle; I found his ring in approx. 10 minutes. So glad I could help out, tell your wife congrats and she picked a great ring for you 🙂

Lost Wedding Band Lake Minnetonka – Recovered

  • from Twin Cities Metro (Minnesota, United States)

Eric was at his boat slip on Lake Minnetonka getting his boat ready for the upcoming season. As he was working, his platinum wedding band slipped off his finger right into the water. When he initially called me for a search, the water was still way too cold to dive for any length of time. I told him, no problem on the search – but we will have to wait for the water temp to increase. In the mean time, Eric’s friend told him about a diver with a dry suit that could search. The other scuba diver went in and lasted about 45 minutes underwater in the cold, to no avail. Just a couple bolts and trash. I called Eric as the water temp was getting warmer and he told me about the dry suit diver; I thought, well it’s worth another try and I do have a lot of experience in this type of situation. The water depth was approx. 12 -15 feet deep and the bottom was a foot of silt. As soon as you start searching, the water clouds and you become blind. It’s totally a « feel » search from there on out. Well, the good news is, it only took about 10 -15 minutes and I found his ring. Really glad I could help out Eric. Hope you have a great Memorial Day week-end!!
