I’ve been metal detecting, locating treasure for 34 years. All types of land detecting (Parks, Yards, Lakes, creeks, rivers, woods, Empty houses & estates,) Certified Scuba Diver with all equipment, gear, and dive boat. All necessary tools for search and recovery. I specialize in locating rings and jewelry.

Search Locations

40-mile radius from Ashland, KY 41101. Willing to go farther for donations to cover fuel costs, drive time etc.

Steven Lyon's Bio

Very experienced detector with over 34 years of experience. I have recovered more than 400+ rings. I have worked very closely with the local schools, education departments and libraries on giving presentations on treasure hunting. I have also started a successfully large metal detecting club called “Digitalltreasures” with monthly meetings to get people active and excited about the hobby. Teaching proper ethics and digging and recovery practices. I am also a metal detecting dealer for several brands of detectors and treasure hunting equipment. I have won the dealer of the year award for several years in a row. I have a strong passion for this hobby and enjoy seeing people reactions on finding their most precious belongings.

    Received a call from someone who lost a very important ring asking me to help locate and recover. Turns out this ring is a family heirloom pasted down from generations. Ring was found fairly quick in the woods behind a fence. Customer was very pleased over this recovery.
