Cost For My Service

For lost rings, jewelry, keys, and other metal valuables, I work on a reward basis. You decide what recovering your item is worth to you and what you can afford.

I charge a $35 local call-out fee, whether or not the item is found, to help cover travel expenses. Searches outside my local area may have an additional travel charge. All fees will be discussed and agreed upon before the search.

For larger areas or searches without a known loss location, please contact me to discuss details and pricing.

If you recently lost something, contact me as soon as possible. Knowing where you were and what you were doing can help narrow the search.

Search Types

Lost rings, jewelry, keys, and other metal items in yards, gardens, fields, and other accessible outdoor areas.

Private-property searches require the property owner’s permission. Searches in parks and other public areas depend on local rules and any required authorization.

Please contact me with a description of your item, when it was lost, and where you believe it may be.

Search Locations

Based in Louisville, Kentucky, serving eastern Louisville and nearby communities, including Middletown, Anchorage, Pewee Valley, Crestwood, Prospect, and Goshen.

For locations outside these areas, please contact me to discuss travel and availability.

Bret Nickerson's Bio

I’m Bret, a metal detecting enthusiast based in Louisville, Kentucky. I’ve lived throughout Asia and on Guam, metal detecting across those areas and gaining experience searching a variety of locations and terrain. My experience also includes searching private properties for coins, relics, and other metal objects with the owner’s permission.

What I enjoy most about detecting is working through the clues, searching carefully, and finding something that might otherwise remain lost. Now, I’m putting that experience to work helping people recover lost rings, jewelry, keys, and other meaningful belongings throughout Louisville and nearby communities.

I understand that an item’s sentimental value can mean far more than its price. I approach each search with patience, communicate honestly about what may be possible, and treat your property with respect. If you’ve lost something metal, contact me and let’s discuss the search.
