I got a call from Mr. O on Oct. 23 at 7:30 A.M. He needed some storm drain covers located on his Nashville property that had been buried in last year’s record snow and ice storm. The erosion caused by the storm was causing not only drainage issues on his property, but also for a neighbor downhill from him. I used my CST/Berger Magna Trak Magnetic Locator for this job. It’s basically a metal detector that is designed for finding only iron (ferrous) metals, and will not be set off by aluminum, copper, brass, or even gold and silver. In a few hours I was able to locate two drain pipes that were buried. One was about 6”-8” deep and the other only 2” deep. Having the excavation crew on scene was nice. I didn’t even have to dig my own targets. Not an exciting search by any means, but getting outside and seeing some beautiful homes in the hills of Nashville along with the abundant wildlife made it well worth it.
Mr. O was also very appreciative of the service provided. I really do enjoy what I do.
