Irene reached out for help locating a gold bracelet her daughter, Lea had lost at Redington Beach. The bracelet was had sentimental value as it was a gift from her grandmother who had recently passed. The bracelet was likely lost in one of two areas where Lea and her brother were playing on the beach.
On the following day, I went out to the beach and started detecting the areas where Irene described. I performed a thorough search of the first area with no luck. The second area was more tricky due to not having an exact location and trying to work around people who were relaxing by the water and enjoying the evening at the beach. After a few passes, I heard a nice sound and looked down to see the bracelet barely visible in the sand!
Unknown to me, one of Irene’s friends was at the beach when I found the bracelet and phoned Irene to share the good news. I made contact with Irene later in the evening and set a plan to make the return the next day.
I met up with Irene and Lea at her BMX race event in Oldsmar on Sunday to return the bracelet. It was a beautiful day and I enjoyed cheering Lea on to a second place finish in her race!
