I received a call from a woman asking for my help finding her son-in-laws wedding ring he had lost in a swimming lake while playing with his kids. she explained that he was really upset about losing it and that it meant the world to him. Hoping I would be able help perform what many consider to be a miracle she asked if I would be willing to come out to the campground where they were staying for the season and give it a try? Securing permission and entry to the lake area upon my arrival we arrived at the beach and Tina & Tim showed me the area where their son-in-law had lost it the previous week. Starting my search moving from shallow to deep water I began a grid pattern waiting for the right signal from my metal detector. After 45 minutes and numerous other coin, junk jewelry and trash items I was happy to see his white gold wedding band show up in my scoop! Waiting and watching from the pavilion on the beach they were amazed when I walked out of the water holding the ring up. We couldn’t wait to send a picture to the couple with the great news that the ring had been found. They couldn’t have been more happy and thankful for my services! Recovery #93 is in the scoop!

Memorial day has started the summer season here at the Jersey shore! Half way into the day I received a call from a guy who had just lost a very sentimental gold & diamond ring his father had given him on the beach. He explained that he was sure it was within a certain area where he and others were throwing a ball and doing flips etc.. in the dry sand section of the sand and not in the ocean. I told him I could be at his location on the beach in a couple hours and got on the road. Meeting him at the beach entrance we went to a marked off area where he felt the ring might be and I fired up my White’s Beach Hunter id 300 metal detector and began to grid the area carefully. Digging a few trash items I finally received a solid mid-tone in my headphones and scooped up some sand where the detector had pinpointed the signal and Bam! there laid a large gold & diamond mens ring in the scoop! He hadn’t realized that I found it so I casually walked up to him and his friends on the beach and asked if one could take our picture with his his ring that I was showing him at the same time still laying in the bottom of my scoop,Lol! He just filled with amazement and literally hugged me right there explaining how much the ring meant to him and how thankful he was for my service. Another great recovery and another happy customer! 2015 season is looking good!IMG_3688IMG_3687IMG_3686

I received a call from a woman stating that she had lost her diamond eternity ring on the beach earlier today and was hoping I could try to recover it for her. She had a general idea where the ring may be and explained that she had taken it off to put sunscreen on and sat the ring on her lap and later when she got back to the beach house she realized she never put it back on. I told her I could be there within an hour. She was worried with it getting late and it getting dark soon it would be a problem however I told her although its easier with daylight its not necessary since my metal detector has a target indication light system on it along with headphones for the sound so I could still do the search. Upon arrival at the beach, her husband and friend where already on the beach and trying to find the ring by eye and showed me the area where they been sitting earlier that day. I handed her husband 4 red glow sticks and asked him to make a box the size of the general area which was about 30’x30′. As I was explaining my search process her husband informed me that some of the diamonds in the ring were from her mothers ring and are irreplaceable so it would mean the world to her if I could find it. He stated that the ring was platinum and had large diamonds all the way around. I told him I would do my best and began my grid search within the designated area. After 20 minutes and digging a few coins and trash items I received a nice sound mid tone accompanied by a yellow light on my White’s Beach Hunter id 300 detector and proceeded to push my scoop into the sand to retrieve the target. Turning on my headlight and raising my scoop I looked in and there was her ring. A beautiful diamond ring with very large diamonds all the way around. Her husband and friend were watching from a nearby lifeguard stand and I held the the ring up and stated I think I have what we are looking for! They jumped down and ran over with total relief and amazement and couldn’t wait for us to get back to the house to his distraught wife with the great news. We entered the house and he introduced me and held out the ring. What a look on her face as she focused on her ring. She went on to tell me how much it means to her and the story behind the ring with her mothers diamonds. It was absolutely Priceless to be able to bring the smile back to her face after worrying since she lost it hours earlier. Another great recovery,Another great day!IMG_3016 2IMG_3019

I received a call from Mike last night explaining that he had lost his platinum wedding band on beach. He took it off to put sunscreen on sitting it on his lap and forgot it when he got up to go swimming and it disappeared into the sand. I was busy picking family up at the airport at the time when he called so we agreed to meet first thing in the morning at 5:45 before the beach screener tractor came by possibly moving or burying the ring. Mike had taken good notes as to his location on the beach and marked it out so even tho when I arrived in the morning it was still dark out we were able to be in the right area. I marked the area out with 4 blinking glow sticks and began my grid search of the 20 x 20 area and about 15 minutes in to the search my White’s Beach Hunter id responded with the signal I was looking for and Mikes ring was in my scoop! Another very relieved and happy customer! The beginning of another great day!DSCN000710354813_10202625670873550_2516483578690805353_n

Lost Rolex watch on Avalon beach recovered by Ed Cropski

I received a call while finishing up another search that he had lost his Rolex watch on the beach the day before and when he went to the local police department to report the loss they had given him my information. Arriving at the beach area where he and his family were setup for the day we went over the events of the day before that led up to the loss. He explained the tide was low and they had there’re beach chairs in the wet sand and he had taken the watch off and sat it on his lap to put sunscreen on the grand kids. Not realizing he never put the watch back on when the tide was coming back in they decided to move their chairs not realizing when he stood up he had dropped the watch into the sand. Also he explained that this watch was given to him 25 yrs ago by someone very close to him who now has health concerns and it would just mean the world to him if I could find it. I told him I would do my best but the area of the beach it is i is hunted quite regularly by other people with metal detectors so hopefully it is still there. Being a busy beach the area was also full of a lot of other people on chairs and playing in the sand so there is chance someone is sitting on it or such but I will see what I can do. A I worked my way between the chairs and began my grid pattern I dug a few items while the family watched in anticipation hoping the next target would be the watch. After about 20 minutes I received a signal I thought was a quarter but sounded larger I carefully dug an 8″ hole with my scoop and as I removed the sand the watch band fell out of the sidewall of the dug hole! I looked up at the family and the rest of the now curious beach goers who now heard the story of the loss and pointed to the hole, removed the watch and held it up in the air and the whole beach just went crazy!!! Wow! what a feeling it was as the owner just ran over and hugged me as he was almost in tears. Another Great recovery and day on the beach! IMG_2867IMG_2862IMG_286610568766_10202446371471177_111843199_n

I just got back home from recovering 2 beautiful Platinum diamond rings that were lost on the beach yesterday in Beach Haven LBI,NJ. I received a Facebook message from Joe DeMarco of DeMarco Detector sales in Millville,NJ that a woman was in need of help and I gave him my information and she called me right away. Although I had other plans for today I could tell the urgency as she was crying on the phone so I responded to her that I was on my way! Upon arriving at the site on the beach where she was laying out with the kids yesterday and set up at again today. We went through what may have happened to the rings if in fact they were there at all as she was not positive but she may have taken them off to put lotion on the kids and put them on her lap and forgot about them . We moved her beach chairs, towels  from the area for me to search. With the whole beach now watching 3 passes into the 20×20 area I heard the mid tone I was hoping for and scooped up the first ring which was her beautiful platinum diamond wedding band. The look on Mary’s face was priceless when I told her I got one and handed it to her. With that I proceeded 3 steps forward and heard another mid tone and recovered ring #2 which was a stunning platinum diamond engagement ring which she later informed me was a whooping 3 carats! She immediately started crying and hugging me on the beach and everyone who was watching was clapping and cheering as we both announced Ring Finders.com!! What an awesome feeling it was to see her smiling again on her vacation as you can see in the picture below with me. I love it! I got gotta say it was something to see those 2 beautiful pieces of jewelry come up in my scoop and the look on her face!  Another Great Recovery,Another Great day!                                                                                   1012454_10151603627254748_1684853053_nIMG_2276IMG_2282
