Wedding band lost while swimming on holidays at Otty Lake, Perth, Ontario

  • from Brampton (Ontario, Canada)

Blayne & his Wife were vacationing with extended Family at the lovely rustic Colin S Farmer Cottages in Perth, Ontario. The cottages are located on the south west end of Otty Lake.

Blayne was swimming between the land dock and floating dock and noticed his 10k white gold wedding band was missing. He searched for 20 minutes but it was getting dark. The next day Blayne, his Wife and her Family took turns searching for 4-5 hours with no luck.

The cottages owner Kyla had seen a recent Facebook post on the Otty Lake Association page that I was heading down to Otty Lake to search for another recently lost wedding band and a pair of expensive reading glasses. Kyla reached out to me for more information. She contacted Blayne about my services and he was in touch with me immediately!

I was lucky enough to group all three searches together in one day and have three successful recoveries!

I geared up with my Minelab Excalibur2 underwater metal detector and my DIVE BLU3 NEMO portable battery operating hookah system! Blayne provided a Google Earth image and circled the area he thought his lost his wedding band. I went out from land to the dock. I came back around searching in and out of the weeds. I had a few signals finding a pop can pull tab, a stainless steal nut, a lead sinker, swim mask and then the golden tone of the day… Blayne’s wedding band!! WHAHOOOO!

Check out the video;

I contacted Blayne with a surprise phone call to give him the news. He was so happy of the news! I subsequently met up with his best man Andrew! Small world… Andrew and I both work for The City of Brampton! He for Transit and I for Works & Transportation. Andrew was thrilled to received Blayne’s wedding band for the return!!

I can’t thank Blayne enough for his very generous donation to the Kelly Shires Breast Cancer Foundation!! He recieves a tax receipt!

I also am grateful to Kyla & her Husband at Colin S Farmer Cottages for connecting me and giving us permission and also Patti Hamilton another cottage owner for posting on the Otty Lake Association page to help others while I was in the area if needed!! It was worth the four hour drive!

MASSIVE 18k WEDDING BAND LOST IN SHADOW LAKE COBOCONK ON 🇨🇦

  • from Brampton (Ontario, Canada)

Brampton residents Kultaran and her husband joined a group of Friends at a beautiful cottage retreat near Coboconk, Ontario on beautiful Shadown Lake of the Kawartha Lakes Region!

Shadow Lake is known for exceptional boating and fishing but is a very weedy lake.

The couple could not meet me on site as they had plans but we received permission from the gracious cottage owners whom the Husband assisted me by being my safety spotter.

I attempted the recovery with a lazy “D” grid pattern using the DIVE BLU3 NEMO hookah system which has a 10’ hose depth. Unfortunately, I had to switch to my scuba gear after 1 hour as I had deeper depth to move out to. Within 30 minutes I was able to locate the ring in 1 1/2’ of muck!!

Next, came a phone call to surprise them that I located and recovered his stunning 18k white gold massive wedding band! The 11 diamonds were sparkling!

Check out the video of this incredible recovery;

Few days later I met up with Kultaran to return her husbands stunning wedding band!

Thank you Kultaran for your generous donation the the Kelly Shires Breast Cancer Foundation for my “pay-it-forward” program! She receives a tax receipt from the Foundation!!

NEW iPHONE 12 DROPPED OFF A DOCK PORT SEVERN, MUSKOKA LAKES, ONTARIO 🇨🇦

  • from Brampton (Ontario, Canada)

Samantha and Friends were dockside enjoying a beautiful sunny cottage country day. She accidentally dropped her new iPhone 12 into the water between the two dock portions. They searched for hours but had trouble seeing the iPhone in the dark mucky waters below the dock.

I arrived late in the evening with my new lightweight battery operated hookah system BLU3 NEMO  and my trusty Minelab Excalibur2 underwater metal detector!

Took me but 5 seconds to see Samantha’s iPhone shinny side up! Check out the video!

One very happy young lady and another donation made to the Kelly Shires Breast Cancer Foundation charity in which Samantha received a tax receipt!!

Paying-it-forward!! I love using my passion for metal detecting and five detecting to raise much needed funds to financially support breast cancer patients in need 💖

Platinum wedding band lost dockside in Lake Rosseau, Rosseau, Ontario 🇨🇦

  • from Brampton (Ontario, Canada)

I received an email from Adrienne that her husband Michael lost his platinum wedding band in the silty waters dockside at their cottage in Lake Rosseau!

Lake Rosseau is an absolutely beautiful area in Ontario’s cottage country!

Michael was covering up their boat on a cold day and his wedding ring slipped off between the boat and the dock into the silty waters six feet below.

They made attempts to find the wedding ring themselves with no luck. A Friend suggested to contact my through The Ring Finders Dot Com website in which Adrienne connected with me!

Ontario cottage country was ablaze with the various trees “fall colors” on my trip up to Lake Rosseau in the Muskoka Lakes region!

I brought along my brand new hookah system called the  “BLU3 NEMO”! This unit has a total weight of 10-12lbs total! I still had my fill scuba gear just in case!

Michael showed the exact location on the dock where he watched his wedding band fall into the water.

I proceeded into the water with the hookah unit and my Minelab Excalibur2 underwater metal detector. Five minutes later the wonderful “tone” of platinum sounded off in my headphones after I pulled two nails! BINGO!!!

I proceeded up from underneath the dock with the beautiful wedding band leading the way!

Here is the video of this beautiful wedding band recovery for Michael & Adrienne;

Happy smiles all around!!

Thank you so very much Michael & Adrienne for entrusting me to recover this beautiful wedding band but also your very generous donation to the Kelly Shires Breast Cancer Foundation! I am humbled at your generosity as a credit to my metal/scuba detecting skills!
