Received a call on A cold windy Saturday while I was digging in a corn field, A Young man said his fiancé lost their engagement ring out the window of their cart traveling at 60 miles per hour.
She was tossing something out the window and felt the ring take off. They looked and looked up and down the side of the road for hours and could not find it. So they called me, I got as much info as possible and a marked location as to where they thought it would land. There was still approximately half mile of roadside to search. I grab a buddy of mine Jeremy Suter who is a ring finder for Lincoln nebraska and we took off to look for the ring. We were told it was silver and were sent a picture of it, So im thinking high readings on our detectors. We started out going west from marked location and that proved to be the wrong way. I finally called her and got more detail she said it was east of the mark. ooohhhh thats better so east we went and it was along a bike path and very busy highway so i made my friend walk next to the road haha. After a few minutes we found the item that was tossed out so we no the ring had to be close. We turned around to go back and cover the ditch side of the path and I looked down and there it was shining like a beacon in the dark! I was so happy to beable to call her and say I found it cause she was at a funeral and was not having a very good day. This is my 17th recovery for people and it feels great everytime.

Heading back home from a unsuccessful ring recovery in central nebraska for a lady who lost her ring 47 years ago. I received a call from a nice young lay sounding very distress she had lost her wedding ring in her yard. And she didn’t think we were for real and ask if I actually could find a lost ring I assured her I would give it my best shot. So had to wait a whole night and half a day before she was ready for me to start looking. I went to her yard and it was very small and she said that she was swatting at a fly and she felt the ring leave her finger, Well it was a very heavy gold ring and the direction was unknown. So I started to sweep the yard thinking its got to be right on top ha! I looked and looked and looked and was getting all kinds of coin signals. finally a went back and ask exactly what has been done since you lost it, She replied that it rained twice they mowed once and and stomped all over the yard plus parked on top of the grass. Oh boy I said then this ring could be buried and after about 10 minutes of digging about 20 pennies and a couple of dimes and a nickel I received a 21 number signal on my equinox and digging down a inch bam there it was a big beautiful gold ring with diamonds. I started to walk up to the door and she came out and burst into tears. It made me feel so happy to make someone’s day like that just for finding a ring and returning it.

Received a call from a fellow Ringfinder who was out of town on vacation and could not help a couple who were at a local lake for a Sunday outing. The lady was stung by a bee on her hand and in the process of shaking the bee off she threw her rings into the grass, Her large diamond was easily found by all the people eyeballing the I met up with the distraught husband and we began the search in the general area were he thought it was. And of course it was the opposite direction as usual. At first there were many helpful eyes that made it difficult to concentrate on locating the ring. But I kept at it the husband evidentially had to leave to take his baby to the clinic for a check up. And few painstaking slow searches I finally put my detector on gold mode for the equinox 800 and bam got a strong 3 on the vdi and there it was I was very thrilled but by then everyone was gone it was almost dark so my celebration went unnoticed. I still felt really happy I was able to return her ring that night to take some of the trauma off her that night she had been thru enough.

Received a call on a cold Nebraska day that a person had lost his future wifes beautiful engagement rings in his backyard while frolicing in the new fallen snow. I arrive and found out he had been looking very hard for it by getting a cheap metal detector and sweeping the show but to no avail. becoming desperate he called ring finders, I took over and after a extensive search it grew dark and i had to give up for that day. I went back two days later and lo and behold there is was right were he said it fell out of his coat pocket. He at first told me it was a silver ring so of course im looking for a high number but upon finally seeing the ring it was 10k white gold! wow big difference in numbers as it was a older home there were lots of signals to choose from. Anyway once he show the wife the ring she became quite emotional and that always gives me a warm feeling even tho it was a balmy -1 degree out today.

Received a call from a distraught father of a young man named Charlie. They were out having some father son time at a Husker paintball facility
When they called times up and remove your helmets, As Charlie removed his and started walking back to the start gate he tripped and his helmet went flying with his glasses in it. Well this area was quite wooded with lots of undergrowth. They looked and looked and could not find his Glasses as they were black framed plastic. After hours of 10 to fifteen guys looking for them they admitted defeat and went home I was called on monday to see if i could find them for him with my metal detector. I said sure ill give it a try and I drove the 18 miles out to the spot with a friend of mine. after a phone conversation whilst there as to the exact area it was presumed lost in we began a extensive inch by inch search of the area. Well let me tell you just how many things in the woods that bite, sting, cling and just plain crawl all over you and slither away. Saw a four foot black racer
snake he gave me a start but he went his way I went mine! Well we found shotgun shells, arrows, nails paintball gun parts airsoft gun parts and etc.etc. but no glasses We finally ran out of energy and water as it was very humod and hot! We called the father back and said we needed to be shown exactly were he fell. So we set up for Wednesday morning to meet, Well wednesday came and I drove out there again by myself and Met Chris we then commence walking up to the spot were he said he was pretty sure this is were he fell. I started swinging my detector to which i had set to all metal propector mode as to not miss the tiny signal the eye glasses would give. Again it was look and look and look after a hour or so of no luck Chris said he had to go and I said ill stay and keep looking they have to be here somewhere. So i went back up to were he said charlie started and I decided to take path a little further then were he thought and low and behold about 50 feet from were he thought is was beep I looked and there they were laying in plain sight how anyone missed them is beyond me, I was just as giddy as heck to beable to holler at Chris and say found them!!!! Man was he happy as his son had just started school and really needed his glasses as new ones were three to four weeks out. So all ended well. The next day Charlie called me and thanked me for finding his Glasses, I would do it all again in a minute. So sometimes its not always rings that are found that mean something.

Received a early morning call from a young lady telling me she just got engaged on sunday night and went swimming in a private lake beach and she felt her beautiful Newley acquired engagement ring slip from her finger and she was scheduled to leave on a fight to Arizona today at 3:00 pm.
So since I’m a retired ring finder I was able to jump in the car and rush to her rescue, I found the ring in about 3 foot of water within 10 minutes with the help of a very friendly goose. They did all the right things they marked the spot on the beach where she last remembers swimming before it came off and didn’t spend too much time stomping all over it looking by feel. She is now on her way to a wedding chapel soon. Good luck to them both and i wish them a long and happy marriage.

This awesome elderly Deer hunter while out putting up a tree stand for the youth hunt he volunteers for he felt something brush his ear and knock his glasses off, not til he left and went home did he realize that he was missing a hearing aid! He of course went back with a friend and stomped all over the area he assumed it was lost not able to locate it, He then called my Brother and ask if we could well if anyone knows anything about hearing aids they have very little metal in them. So my Brother called me for advice and help. I went and showed him how to set up his machine to find hearing aids and within ten minutes we found his hearing aid about five feet further then he thought he should be so that thing really flew. He was very excited and happy to get that back as they cost around two thousand dollars each. I was very happy for him and enjoy seeing a person light up when a item is returned.
