Lost Diamond Earring During Kite Flight Found On Emerald Isle

  • from Emerald Isle (North Carolina, United States)

While flying a kite on Emerald Isle beach, the string slid past the young lady’s ear and pulled her earring out.   Unable to locate the earring in the dry sand during the windy day, they decided to call me later that evening to help in the search and recovery.  We used the remaining earring to test the detectors.  Once the tone was acquired the search began.  It was a difficult recovery but everyone was happy in the end when the missing earring revealed it’s resting place.

Gold Bracelet Lost On Emerald Isle Beach Found Days Later

  • from Emerald Isle (North Carolina, United States)

Rickey was spending the Forth of July holiday with family and friends and began to throw a ball while in knee deep water.  It was at this time the bracelet, that belonged to his deceased father,  flew from his wrist into the ocean.

Rickey’s brother-in-law found out about our metal detecting services and Rickey contacted me 11 days later.  On the 12th day, Rickey gave me the location he was at during the loss and I began my search.  To my surprise, it was the 1st target in the area.  It was deep in the sand and almost out of my detecting depth range.  Rickey was shocked, relieved and shaking when I sent him the above picture of the bracelet on my detector.   Rickey said in a text message: « I feel like part of my dad is back!! »

Wedding Rings Lost At Indian Beach, NC Found

  • from Emerald Isle (North Carolina, United States)

A young couple, Kelly and her husband, were spending their vacation at Indian Beach, NC.  This is becoming an annual tradition.

Their enjoyment quickly became a panic moment when the beach chair Kelly had placed her wedding set in turned over and the rings spilled into the soft sand.  The couple, from Northern Ohio, found The Ring Finders and called me to assist.  I was currently about 3 hours away but changed my course to head directly to them.  When I arrived on the beach, Kelly had purchased a metal detector from a retail store and was out trying to find her lost rings.  After a brief discussion I began my search.  Seconds later my 1st and 2nd targets were the lost rings!

Emerald Isle Ring Lost In Ocean Found Hours Later

  • from Emerald Isle (North Carolina, United States)

Harrison and Diana were visiting family on Emerald isle when they decided to take their puppies to the beach.
Harrison’s story:
« We had just gotten to the beach, and put sunscreen on. Then, it was down to the water to take the pups in for a swim and to cool down. About 10 minutes later, I realized that my ring was missing. We searched the area where we were sitting, but figured that it was lost in the water. We called Steve, who agreed to meet us later that evening since the tide was coming in. We are so happy with his work in finding the ring, his professionalism, and his willingness to keep searching. Thank you! »

After a 2 hour search, the ring was located and returned with a very happy wife nearby!

Ring Lost at North Topsail Beach FOUND Hours Later With Metal Detector

  • from Emerald Isle (North Carolina, United States)

Amber was spending a day at the beach with family and decided to go for a swim.  The newlywed of only 6 weeks noticed her rings were slipping and tried to clean the sunscreen from her finger.  It was then the engagement ring slipped away and fell into the 2 foot surf.  After a frantic search, she promptly started a search on the internet and this led her to The Ring Finders!   Amber contacted me and we arranged a meeting time shortly afterwards.  Amber felt I was her only hope of ever seeing the ring again.

I began my search in the area Amber and her family had marked with lines in the sand.  They were very accurate and although it had settled in the sand down about 8 inches, it was almost in the middle of the lines they had laid in the sand.

Lost Wedding Ring In Jacksonville, NC Found In Yard

  • from Emerald Isle (North Carolina, United States)

Kaitlyn’s Words:

« It all started on a sunny day, playing with my puppies in my backyard right before I was about to go to work. The dogs got excited and got out of our fence, I then panicked  and go to get them that way they don’t get to far away from me, it wasn’t until I was coming back to the house I realized I lost my wedding ring! I had a pretty good idea it had to have been somewhere in my back yard, the weeds were high, the fence was broken, and I was about to go to work. A recipe for disaster. I prayed over it after spending hours on end looking for it myself.  It wasn’t until the next day, I was worried because I did everything in my power to look for it, I go onto google and just typed it ring finders just trying to see what would happen or what hints they would give me. It then brought me to a page where I found Steve! I guess more people lose there wedding rings than I thought. Steve  came out the very next day, he looked for hours, and didn’t give up until he found it, and returned it to its proper place. He is an angel. And I’m so grateful to have found him!  »

Kaitlyn was not home when the ring was recovered but her active duty Marine husband Baylen was there to pick the ring up off of the ground after my discovery!

Lost Phone on Pine Knoll Shores Found on Beach

  • from Emerald Isle (North Carolina, United States)

Carol’s Iphone recovered 2 days after loss

Late Thursday evening I received a call from Joe.  He stated his wife had found my number online (www.TheRingFinders.com).  He explained she had lost her cell phone on the beach the day before (Wednesday).  We agreed to meet to begin the search Friday morning.  After a few passes in the high tide zone,  my detector gave a solid signal.  My pin-pointer indicated the target was near the surface and I began to remove the sand with my hand to protect the phone from any damage.   Her phone was 5 inches below the surface.  After spending a few more minutes on the beach, I headed back and saw Carol once more talking to a neighbor.  She informed me that the phone was taking a charge.  Hopefully it will be fully functional very soon!

  • from Emerald Isle (North Carolina, United States)

Joe used a Google search to find TheRingFinders.com.  This provided Joe to find Emerald Isle Metal Detecting‘s phone number and call me in regards to very sentimental necklace pendant his wife had lost the week prior.  It seems she was holding one of their dogs when the poor pooch got tangled in her necklace and panicked.  The pendant was tossed & lost.  After hearing her description and where she was standing at the time I began the search.  It was seconds later I heard the that sweet sound of gold.  It was a long drive for me but, it was worth the joy in their faces when I returned the pendant!
