Lost Ring in LAKE San Marcos

  • from Carlsbad (California, United States)
  1. My Ringfinder partner ( Curtis) was contacted about a ring lost in a old lake near by us. He called to see if I could dive it. After alot of checking we put together a plan. Honored to have 2 members of TRF not only come but helped in this return.

There was no visibility at all here so I had to dive blind, best way for me is close me eyes.  20 plus min on the bottom of a muck filled lake, 30 pieces of metal that sat 18” deep in (?)

After cleaning what I could got one last faint signal, reaching though 18” of  feels kinda like clay, I feel something on my baby finger so I keep pushing to hard pack, oh my I think I got it as I hold it tight in my fist. Cant see so gota go up. Rest of story on 10 News.

Return was done live on our local news

Thanks to Curtis for the call,  Stan and Curtis for their help. Its what we do.

Look at that Smile.

LOST RING PONTO BEACH

  • from Carlsbad (California, United States)

I recived a text about my ringfinder services,  with a little info;

I went surfing today at ponto and gave my ring to my  boyfriend before I went out.  After leaving, while having lunch we couldnt find it,  We knew it has to be in the sand at the beach.

After a quick phone call we both headed to the beach. 10/15 mins later we’re on the beach.  I have them draw outline of loss area.  Alot of old fire pits here,  nail after nail then a few bottle caps and pull tabs. 20% of area done and and nice clear beep. There she is,   Beautifull gold and dimond rind.  Back where it belongs.

I LOVE THIS FEELING.

got a call from Alyssa just before sunset. She had put her ring in her bag but as they get ready to leave the beach her ring cant be found.  A friend of hers had used us TheRingFinders last summer and she remembered the story. I headed stright down as this was a dry sand loss. After gridin the area two time I called in my partner in case I missed it. He grids the area but nothing. Her friends start useing feet to move sand in area and I try one more time and bingo, there it be.

White tiny gold is the hardest to find but we werent leaveing till we found it. Team work by TheRingFinders

Lost Ring Swimming Encinitas

  • from Carlsbad (California, United States)

I got a voice mail from Frank about a lost gold wedding ring in the water. I called him right away to set up a meet.

I decided to go alittle early cause low tide would be late. We met about 6:00 pm and I told Frank and his family might be 8 pm before I get it. They went for walk around town while I started to grid into waist deep water.

  • Total search aprox one hour from the time I got there but 15 min after they went to town.  I called Frank and said I got something for you. You could hear in his voice the excitement. So I went to my truck and drove to the parking lot to meet up for the return and the smile picture for the book of Smiles.  Read the rest of this entry »

Found and Returned in Carlsbad Ca.

  • from Carlsbad (California, United States)

Its not just rings and keys.

And sometimes we are in the right place at the right time. Wallet  found with $390.00 cash, his last 2 paychecks @ $400+ .   Tracked him down and handed him his wallet with every dollar still in it.

Do the right thing even if no one is looking.

Lost ring set Oceanside

  • from Carlsbad (California, United States)

I got a call for a ring set lost yesterday at the beach but they didnt know where. I went stright down to meet them and check what I could. She thought might have come off digin sand crabs with grandkids. After gridin the wet with nothing found we moved up in the masses of people. Not there either. Then the son says I think we might have been where those people are packing up. Ok lets check it.

2 or 3 passes I get one of the two lost so I know the other is close by.  Yep, aprox 4/6′ away and there is number two. Another happy family here on vacation no with big smiles.

Lost Ring Swimming, Solana Beach

  • from Carlsbad (California, United States)

Got a call fron Dave asking if I could recover his ring in about waist deep water. I looked at the tide book and saw tide was going down so I was on the way to meet him in 30 min.

After finding parking I was early so I went where I was told and started my grid. Hair pin, hair pin and another hair pin. Damn.  Then I see him wave from shore so I knew must be him.

He tells me his wife thinks he was more to the left so I keep gridin that way.  Bang, very loud beep. Oh yea this is it. As I push the scoop in and go to pull it my handle breaks, carbon fiber.

I did everything I could to scoop it but couldnt get it. Went to my truck and did a quick repair. Back in that same hole used my feet to move some sand and two sccop later, there is his gold ring. It had gone really deep as sand was real soft. Aprox 18″ down.

Thanks Dave for the reward and a new friend has been made. Smiles all over and the life gaurds were happy we were able to help him.

I had just got home and get a call to ponto beach. After asking all the stuff I need to know we set a meeting place and I’m on my way.

As we walk down the beach he tells me about a 10′ area and I know if he is right it will be a fast recovery.  On about the 4 th or 5 th pass I look at him and all the others watching me as I swing over one spot.  Scoop and there it is, a beautfull heavy Gold wedding ring.  » STOKED »  Another person helped by TheRingFinders.com
