A frantic search in the snow ensued.  After moving the car to get more lights in the spot where Laura thought she felt her ring go flying, turned up nothing. Afraid that the early morning snow plow would make it impossible to find or at least more difficult. Laura found a blog post about a ring finder recovering a ring in a Denver snowy parking lot.  She contacted the Tenacious Treasure Tracker  after a short search in the slushy parking lot turn up the precious wedding ring.

JJ and I started searching for his lost ring Wednesday evening, a couple days after losing it, only to be halted by rain and lightning. The search resumed the next day on Thursday.  After 2 hours of searching while avoiding flying baseballs from a dad and his son having batting practice, the Platinum wedding ring was found. JJ is now a happy camper!

Big Joe Lost Ring Denver

Big Joe Lost Ring Denver

Joe is a kind hearted man. You have to be, to open your home to troubled teens. On the back porch Joe sees one of his teens coming home across the park behind their home.  Joe hadn’t thrown a snowball in years and he didn’t know what drove him to do it on that day.  Joe packed a snowball and heaved it out towards the teen in the park.  You know that sick feeling when you know you just did something you shouldn’t have. He felt his fathers priceless wedding ring go flying. The only problem was he didn’t see the ring at all, so he had no clue what direction it went. They all dug for hours in the back yard and Joe even went to the store and purchased a small metal detector to help search. But after hours of searching and a mine field in his back yard, Joe decided he need the call in the professionals. After a call to Tenacious Treasure Tracker we agreed to meet a 2pm to search before the next snow storm was to come in that afternoon.  After a short search we found the ring. I think Big Joe was overwhelmed and I swear a tear was shed as we hugged in relief.

Unusual Metal Detector Request

Received an unusual phone call to metal detect a brand new board game.  Ora & Labora board game has highly prized metal game pieces in the older version but the newer version has plastic. Without removing the plastic shrink wrap, Todd was wanting to know if the game he had purchased for a friend had the metal pieces as opposed to the plastic ones. Good news, we found metal! We just hope its the right metal:)

Lost Pendant Found In Boulder CO With Metal Detector

  • from Aurora (Colorado, United States)

Received an early phone call today Thursday October 16th 2014.  Kate, a young lady visiting Boulder from England, had been at the park walking the dog when she stopped to toss the ball around.  The next thing Kate noticed was that her necklace was falling off and the pendant was missing.  Her heart sank as she frantically started searching for it in the deep grass.  After the morning search came up empty handed she decide she needed help.  We scheduled to meet at the park at 5:30 to start a new search with the metal detector.  After about 40 minutes searching the sun was almost down and Kate was getting chilled so I sent her home to warm up as I continued the search.  About 30 minutes later and in the dark I sent a text message to Kate with a photo of a pendant with the statement « Is this the pendant that you lost? »  Within a second my phone rang, « You found It? »

Another great find by the Tenacious Treasure Tracker.
