Childhood Treasure Time Capsule Bread Box Buried 35 Years Ago Found

  • from Brampton (Ontario, Canada)

I was called by a local resident Ed with an unusual request to locate a buried bread box ftom 35+ years ago.

Ed, his twin Brother Ed and longtime Childhood Friend James buried items in a Bread Box time capsule in the backyard around 1985-1988.

This was absolute priceless and hearing the guesses of what they thought they all buried!

My Minelab MANTICORE metal detector nicknamed ‘Betty Beast’ found this treasure in less than 10 minutes as the boys remembered the general location!

The bread box amazingly stood the test of time!!

This was an awesome adventure to see the excitement of “what did we put in the bread box”!

Unfortunately, the video of pulling the lost treasures out was deleted.

Items inculded Mickey Mouse, Captain Power, Sesame Street Elmo, red plastic light bulb likely filled with powdered candy, glass teddy bear topped glass jar and a belt buckle with the letter “B” for Bob! The belt portion was in pieces!

Check out the video of this adventure;

Timeless treasure adventure for 3 lifelong childhood friends! PRICELESS

Lost 18k Mother Mary Medallion in Backyard Over a Year Ago

  • from Brampton (Ontario, Canada)

A call out came in from Lisa for an extremely sentimental 18k Mother Mary medallion which was lost in a Brampton, Ontario backyard over a year ago.

Lisa’s Nephew Matthew had searched googled and came across the global directory for TheRingFinders!

I met up with Lisa after work. Lisa explained she was picking pears in her backyard when the wasps came out of the hive. She ran away and somehow broke her gold chain with two medallions on it. Matthew was able to find one of her medallions but not the other.

I started my grid search in her backyard with my new Minelab Manticore metal detector. It took a while digging out every signal as I was not use to my new machine.

I managed to locate the medallion 4” down approximately 7’ over from where her Nephew found the first medallion.

Here is the video of the recovery. Please like & subscribe 💞

Lisa was very happy to receive the gifted Mother Mary medallion back as it was a treasured gift that belonged to her late Cousin.

Lost Engagement Ring and Wedding Band Gardening in London, ON

  • from Brampton (Ontario, Canada)

Amanda and her Husband Andrew were gardening in their front yard. Amanda had to remove her wedding rings because they were digging into her skin inside her gloves.

At one point Amanda and Andrew had company stop by and Amanda was playing with their dog. She soon realized she lost her rings and they purchased a metal detector with no luck!

I ended down to London after work. Did my introduction video interview.

I then started in the front yard where they were cleaning weeds out of a rock garden area. Shortly after starting the grid search with my Minelab Manticore machine, I stopped and decided to go back to my car for my Minelab Equinox 800 as it had the small sniper coil on it.

As I headed back to my car I spotted with my eagle eyes both her rings sitting in the grass!

I was about to re-start the grid search and proceeded to show them how the hand held pin pointer works and SURPRISE… I pulled the rings from the grass!!

The surprise was absolutely priceless from her shock, to feeling I’ll, to extreme happiness!!

I love ‘quickies’ but I absolutely love the ‘shock and awwww’ moments!!

HAPPY ENDINGS!

Raheela was exercising in a (Scarborough) City of Toronto park. After running around she sat down by the goal post and her 22k yellow gold wedding band fell out of her pocket into the grass.

They searched the area but could not locate the wedding band.

Lost Gold Wedding Band in deep Snow in Brampton, ON

  • from Brampton (Ontario, Canada)

Sephra and her Son Aadam were playing in the snow after a big snowstorm in Brampton, Ontario.

Sephra had to fix Aadam’s zipper and as she took her snow gloves off her ring flew off into the deep snow.

They searched the snow for a while with no luck. Sephra took to a Google search and found TheRingFinders directory!

I arrived the next day after work and started the grid search amongst lots of underground utilities and interference.

I came across a great signal, and asked Aadam to give me a hand with my pin pointer. I always like to get kids involved in the search in hopes of inspiring them to try metal detecting!

Aadam was a pro and successfully found his mother’s gold wedding band!! Nothing beats that great big smile on a child!

here’s the video of the ring recovery in the snow and Aadam’s big smile!

It was a pleasure to help and get Aadam involved!

Men’s Platinum Wedding Band Lost in Whitestone Lake, Municipality of Whitestone, Parry Sound, ON

  • from Brampton (Ontario, Canada)

Received a call from Dan and Debbie of Toronto, as they were attending a Family gathering on Whitestone Lake, Municipality of Whitestone in the District of Parry Sound, Ontario.

Met up with Dan and Debbie and we headed up early on a beautiful Saturday morning!

Dan had jumped into the lake and realized his platinum wedding band was not on his finger! Brother-in-law Tony, had lost pliers off his dock four years ago!

I mentioned to Debbie and Dan that this will not take long and probably will be under five minutes!

I used my top underwater metal detector the Minelab ‘Excalibur2’ alongside my floating battery operated hooka system called the Dive BLU3 ‘Nemo’.

With-in 4 minutes I had an old ‘Lucky Strike’ fishing lure and Dan’s chunky platinum wedding band! I also explored a bit and pulled up a fishing rod, more lures, a titanium sinker and trash! Always like to leave the environment cleaner than when I arrived!

We also drove down the road to help the Deputy mayor Joe Lamb find a property marker in 5 minutes after he had been looking for it for six hours! Thank you for the boat ride Mr. Lamb.  We all thoroughly enjoyed it.

Here is the video story. Please subscribe and like!

A very happy couple to receive back an  extremely sentimental wedding band! Tony was also happy to receive his pliers back!

18k White and Yellow Gold Wedding Band Lost After Blizzard Snowstorm Swept Through Bracebridge, Ontario

  • from Brampton (Ontario, Canada)

Elaine & Adam arrived home to Bracebridge, Ontario after celebrating Christmas with Family outside the Toronto GTA area.

During the Christmas holiday break there was a massive blizzard hitting Canada from the west coast, right across the prairies, into many parts of Ontario as well as the United States.

After Elaine & Adam parked their car in the neighbours driveway, Adam set up a tripod and camera to capture the snowfall with themselves showing the height of the snow accumulation. I was a beautiful photo! They then broke through the 6’ high snowbank at the bottom of their driveway and proceeded to the front door falling numerous times due to the depth of the snow.

When Adam noticed his wedding band was missing they spent the whole day clearing snow outside but gave up when it was dark and then called you.

I received and text from Elaine and called her immediately to set up a date and time.

After my half day of work I proceeded directly up to Bracebridge, set up my gear at the back of my car, walked over to the starting point where Adam set up the tripod / camera and wouldn’t you know it, I spotted the ring 7’ away in ice on the roadway!!

I started the video interview with Elaine and moved right into the surprise recovery and reveal! Shear disbelief!

Check out the video and the reaction here;

What an incredible feeling and how lucky we were to find it before the next snow clearing event!

I am so honoured to help Elaine & Adam recover this sentiment wedding band but I too was blown away at the extremely generous donation they made to the Kelly Shires Breast Cancer Foundation! They made me cry because I really felt my work was valued! They not only received their precious wedding ring back but also received a tax receipt for the donation!

Thank you so very much Elaine and Adam! It was such a pleasure to help on the misadventure of your wedding band!

14k Gold Wedding Band Lost in a Snowy Toronto Backyard

  • from Brampton (Ontario, Canada)

Craig and his Husband Alex were preparing for the upcoming festive Christmas season.

Craig was busy in the backyard trimming some evergreens and trimming this years Christmas tree. An hour went by and after sitting at his computer he realized his 4 month old wedding band was missing.

Craig figured his wedding band must have come off his finger in the backyard prepping the Christmas tree. He googled metal detectors and The Ring Finders directory popped up.

Ring Finder member Paul wasn’t available so I sprung into action.

I started grid searching the backyard and figured that with the weight of Alex’s matching wedding band I had to search the entire back yard due to trajectory.

Thank goodness I expanded the search because the ring was in the very back of the yard hiding in behind a small Buddha statue!

Check out the video and Craig’s reaction!

Craig and Alex are extremely happy and I thank them for the wonderful dinner and the generous donation to the Kelly Shires Breast Cancer Foundation. Craig also receives a tax receipt!

Cartier 18k Gold and Diamond Wedding band lost in backyard in downtown Toronto, Ontario

  • from Brampton (Ontario, Canada)

Received a text from Marc to say his Wife Mona lost her wedding band in their backyard in downtown Toronto.

Mona was throwing out her coffee press grinds in the backyard and put her left hand in to clear the remaining grinds.

Unfortunately, Mona’s gold replacement wedding band flew off her finger. She heard a ping and concluded the ring landed somewhere in the leaves.

The registered Toronto ring finder was not available and I was happy to fill in.

Mona and Marc had recently viewed the Toronto CityTV news segment by Audra Brown on TheRingFinders and felt they had hope!

When I arrived, I took my gear into the backyard and while entering the backyard, low and behold I spotted the gold wedding ring immediately laying flat between the black stones!

I proceeded to do the interview then immediately surprise Mona with her beautiful Cartier 18k gold Love Ring! It was priceless! My record to recover a ring was 14 seconds! Not sure how I’ll beat this record!

Check out the video of the ring recovery;

Thank you so very much Mona and Marc for your very generous donation the the Kelly Shires Breast Cancer Foundation!
