Cost For My Service

I work on a ''Reward Basis'' you pay what it's worth to you and what you can afford to have me find your lost item. I have a call-out fee of $25.00 if the item is not found, this covers my fuel expenses. (Maybe more or less depending on where you are located).

I'm a Garrett junkie and currently us a Pro, Max, and ATX. I'm able to effectively search open country and waterways. I am an experienced rafter and fisherman with gear that allow for searching underwater. I also have experience with snorkel recovery and acquaintances to help with SCUBA recovery.

I cover Bend Oregon, Redmond, Sisters, Newport, Eugene, Corvallis & surrounding areas.

Todd Williver's Bio

I grew up in Central Oregon, hunting and fishing in what were then rural areas. I'm an avid outdoorsman. I spent much of my youth traveling around the Northwest and Canada as an Alpine Ski Racer. I guess that lifestyle developed my lust for travel and appreciate seeing and learning about new areas around my state and around the country. I'm a faculty member at an Oregon University, but spend my free time traipsing the countryside, learning about the history of my region and other areas in the US, and abroad. I've owned a metal detector since 1986, and have in the past few years upgraded my equipment to some of the most state-of-the-art equipment. I generally take at least one metal detector on my travels and have found/recovered thousands of items over the years. I enjoy education and teaching and would be happy to explain the process and will often put loaner equipment in your hand as long as the search area permits. I would enjoy the opportunity to attempt to find and recover your lost items, or just explore around your turn-of-the-century home place.

  • (Another) Lost Ring in Sunriver – Found! (2022)

The messages are generally very simple, and humble, “I found your name on theringfinders.com.  I just lost my ring.”, this particular text read.  His name was Justin and he was vacationing in Sunriver, Oregon over the New Year holiday.  Interestingly, he wasn’t 400 yards from where I located a ring last month, in our first […]

It was a dark and cold Saturday evening – the first winter storm of the 2021 – when my text message alert went off. The text message was simple, “Are you the ring finder?” I answered affirmatively. Sam Owen’s wife had just lost her wedding ring, in a snow storm, at 4200 feet in elevation […]

It was a chilly morning for mid-August in central Oregon when my phone rang.  Jordan Schiff was calling me back about his lost wedding ring, again.  I recognized that he had left me a voicemail the day before, but I had neglected to call him back having just gotten off a 5 day steelhead float […]

  • Lost engagement ring found – Central Oregon High Desert. (2021)

It certainly doesn’t always take a metal detector to find a lost ring; sometimes the methodical perseverance of an experienced metal detectorist is all it takes.  Such was the case last week in the Central Oregon high desert east of the Cascade mountains. Maddie sent me a text message on Sunday evening, through theringfinders.com portal.  […]

  • Wedding Ring Lost during 15 Year Anniversary Vacation – FOUND!! (2020)

The cold sands of the central Oregon Coast are generally unforgiving.  The combination of high tidal fluctuation and pacific storms bringing high winds and wave action often move objects around faster than they can be recovered.  However, not so for this Colorado couple visiting Pacific City, Oregon on their 15 year wedding anniversary.  While playing […]
